Lagoon Hospital And Friends Hold 2017 Lecture on Sickle Cell

All road led to The National Headquarters Of National Sickle Cell Foundation (Union Bank Hall) on the 11th day of May, 2017 as Lagoon hospital friends held her 2017 edition of her annual lecture that started in 1996. This year's lecture was themed:Understanding Sickle Cell Anaemia disease. Lagoon hospital friends is the philanthropic arm of lagoon hospitals founded by friends of the founders, Prof. and Prof Mrs Elebute.

It featured an array of guest, starting from School Pupils and Nursing students to Medical Practitioners that have excelled in their profession and are giving back to the community and the nation at large.

The opening speech was delivered by Prof. Mrs Yetunde Mercy Olumide, an emeritus Professor of Medicine, University Of Lagos and the theme lecture was given by Dr. Olufunmilayo Kalejaiye FMCP.

The program also featured live changing testimonies from some of the guests living with sickle cell and emphasized on how to live and achieve while living with the disease.
