Dr. Zubaida Aliyu (MBBS, FWACS, FMCOG) completed her secondary education at Federal Government College Sokoto, Sokoto State and holds a degree in medicine (MBBS) from Usmanu Danfodio University Sokoto.
After successfully completing her first degree, she was posted to Military Hospital Ikoyi, Lagos and Army Eye Centre, Bonny Camp, Victoria Island, Lagos where she did her National Service (NYSC) and worked as a medical officer.
She then proceeded to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Idi Araba, Lagos for her residency programme. During the residency programme, she served as the Deputy Chief Registrar and was involved with other activities of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
She successfully completed the residency programme and was conferred with the fellowship of both the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) and the Medical College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FMCOG) in October and November 2017 respectively.
She attended a certificate course in Basic and Advanced Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology under the auspices of international society of ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISUOG). Also attended ultrasound training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Markaso St Gregory’s Ibadan.
She has published articles in both local and international journals.
She is a member full member of the Society of Obstetrician and Gynaecologist of Nigeria (SOGON), the Association of Gynaecologist Endoscopic Surgeons of Nigeria (AGES) and Nigerian Medical Association (NMA).
Her areas of interest are fetomaternal medicine and Reproductive Endocrinology.
